PERSONAL REVIEW:

We tested the Miken FREAK Limited Edition on 11-17-2007. We tested a 28oz. model on a 300 ft. field. The temp. was about 60 degrees and it was a nice calm night with very little wind. We used a mix of 375 & 500 compression softballs. We put around 40 hits on the bat prior to shooting the videos to get the bat broken in. I hit first and hit around 35 balls and hit about 20 over the fence and a few hard liners off the fence. The 2nd ball hit in the video actually hit the street at Laurel Creek Park. The street is at about 400 - 410 feet. I have only hit the street a few times and that was with the grey Miken Ultra. The 3rd ball hit the lights in left center field and you can hear it hitting off of the light rack. The Miken FREAK Limited Edition is the exact same as the original 2004 Miken FREAK and has the same amount of pop, sweet spot, line drive performance and home run distance. It is without a doubt one of the very best bats ever and it ranks right up there with the grey Miken Ultra, Miken Ultra 2, Combat Original Da Bomb & the DeMarini GEEZER as one of the top 5 bats ever produced. DESCRIPTION:

Don't have the time or resources to break in your bat before your first game, then let the professionals do it for you. We will break in your bat by hitting 100 softballs that are pitched from a pitching machine. The balls will be pitched at regular slo pitch speed with an arc of 6 TO 8 ft. We will rotate the bat 1/4 inch turn after every hit so the entire barrel breaks in evenly. The Factory shrink wrap paper will be left on the bat during the break in process. This will not void your warranty like rolling your bat in a machine would. For Slow Pitch and Fastpitch Softball Bats the Softball used will be a 12 inch Dudley Thunder 44 core 400 compression.

For Baseball Bats the ball used will be the Rawlings Senior Little League Leather Baseballs.
